The Team
(Interview....)  Can you present yourself ?

I am 37 years old. I completed my studies as a agricultural technician in Beaune (France). I then progressed to a high-level technician in viticulture and oenology in Montpellier (France). I was then reinstated into the family vineyard in 1982. I am now the manager since 1998.

(Interview....)  Has the Servin family a long bourguignon tradition ?

My parents and my grandparents were both wine growers. Alexis Lichine, the famous American importer (and founder of the Priory-Lichine in Margaux) imported at the end of the Forties in the United States, the wine of my grandfather Marcel Servin. In the Fifties, 18 000 bottles of " Servin " crossed the Atlantic Ocean, that is to say 70 % of the harvest! A fabulous market which lasted over 30 years. My great grandfathers were at the same time, wine producers and cooper's at a Chablis wine trader. I have made some genealogical research and the Servin family dates back to 1654. This is the year of the creation of the marital status in Chablis and the Servin families are indexed there. I am proud to represent the sixth or seventh generation of Servin wine growers.

(Interview....)  Who are the people who assist you ?

Catherine Gueners
Catherine is at the same time: accountant, secretary, operator, etc. She is the person in charge of our French customers, and the sales representatives. She also occupies the export files and the transport carriers, and not forgetting that her coffee is excellent. Catherine is a vital person of the company, but do not tell her!
Marc Cameron
Of nationality Australian, Marc integrated into the company three years ago. He assists me with all aspects of exporting. His assistance is invaluable for all our Anglophone customers, but he is also appreciated by our French customers for his serious work and his professionalism.
Albert Pintado
Originating from Languedoc, Albert finished his oenological studies in Montpellier and soon after joined the Domaine Servin, to vinify his first vintage in 1990. His work has made it possible for Domaine Servin to remain as one of the top producers in Chablis.
Simone Servin
I cannot speak to you about this team, without associating Simone Servin, my mother, who maintained this sphere of the activity after the death of my father. She has officially retired but you will surely cross her in our offices, in our cellars, or perhaps she will still welcome you to taste our wines.
